Of course, Musk's tweet doesn't go into the details of this huge milestone.
The full standalone beta of Tesla is rolling out to select customers on Tuesday night, according to a tweet posted Tuesday afternoon by Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
In a tweet, Musk says the deployment will be “Extremely slow and cautious.” However, he did not say where these beta vehicles would be located, so it’s unclear if the company has appropriate clearance in these areas for carrying out this kind of self-propelled vehicle tests.
Earlier, during Tesla's Battery Day presentation, Musk gave a good idea of the work that is being done to get the FSD ready for public consumption: “We have to do a fundamental rewrite of the entire autopilot software stack ... we are now marking 3D video that is extremely different from that when we used to designate one 2D image, "Musk explained, by the way, referring to the autopilot, the program understands what objects it sees from eight cameras and how it should react to them. "We are now tagging entire segments of video, filming all cameras at the same time and tagging it. The complexity of the car's neural network and the overall logic of the car are greatly improved."
We turned to Tesla for more information, but we don't expect much because Tesla is now without a PR department.
